Mid-Continent Instruments Announces New Accounting Manager 

WICHITA, Kan. — Mid-Continent Instruments announces the promotion of Roni Edwards to Accounting Manager.  Edwards will oversee all accounting functions; she will also monitor and maintain all tax and regulatory due dates.  Her additional responsibilities include review and improvement of financial processes and cost accounting.

Edwards has a total of 15 years of accounting, payroll, and tax experience.  For the last ten years, she has served as an accountant and then Accounting Supervisor at Mid-Continent coordinating all financial processes including payroll, accounts receivable and accounts payable.  She earned her Bachelor of Science in Business-Accounting from Emporia State University in Emporia, Kansas and began her accounting career working for a non-profit company there. 

 “Roni has a great ability to delve through the details to make certain our financial reporting and analysis is accurate,” said Cindy Highbarger, Chief Financial Officer.  “Moving Roni to a managerial role will enable her to provide additional value to the company by focusing on how the Accounting Department can assist other departments.

Mid-Continent Instruments manufactures aircraft instruments for the general aviation industry.  Services at the Wichita, Kansas facility also include developing and manufacturing new avionics products.  Mid-Continent Instruments West in Van Nuys, California provides new instrument sales and is the top-rated instrument overhaul shop on the west coast.  Together the locations employ more than 150 people and offer the largest general aviation instrument overhaul/exchange program in the world.  Specialties include gyro, altimeter, HSI and autopilot system overhauls.  Mid-Continent instruments are found in all new Cessna airplanes and in Raytheon’s Beech line of Bonanzas, Barons, King Airs and 1900 Airliners.  Instruments are sold to other manufacturers such as GARMIN International, Honeywell, Cirrus, Lancair, Piper Aircraft Inc., Diamond and Robinson Helicopter Co.
