Mid-Continent Instruments Sole US Distributor for Revue Thommen Watches

Van Nuys, Calif.— Mid-Continent Instruments has been named the exclusive US distributor of Revue Thommen watches, one of the oldest Swiss watch brands.  Known as the premier provider of the 8-day clock since 1853, Revue Thommen added precision aircraft instruments to their manufacturing activity in the twenties.  “With our aviation background and reputation for high quality products and service, the partnership with Revue Thommen was a natural,” said Matt Fowle, Manager, Mid-Continent West.  “We will carry the entire line of Revue Thommen watches, including the popular Airspeed Classic line of watches.”

The self-winding Aviator wristwatches and chronographs were inspired by the instrument panels of commercial and military aircraft.  These watches are characterized by clear, easy-to-read numerals, hands and displays, and are fitted with a self-winding mechanical movement or with a quartz movement.  The casing is made from stainless steel or titanium, a material favored by the aerospace industry.

Pilots love Airspeed chronographs with flyback function.  Typically a pilot divides the trip into legs where each leg lasts a calculated number of minutes.  With a Revue Thommen Flyback, the pilot can put the hand back to zero at the press of a button and the timing starts all over again.

“Revue Thommen watches are very popular in Europe,” stated Fowle, “we’re excited to bring them to a whole new market in the US.”  Prices range from $1,000 US and up.  Watches are available from selected MCI dealers worldwide.  Contact Mid-Continent West at 800-345-7599 for more information.
