True Blue Power Emergency Batteries Increase Dispatch Reliability and Reduce Maintenance Costs
March 23, 2026
New TS32 Series and TS56 nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) emergency battery power supplies replace NiCad on Embraer, Bombardier, Boeing and Airbus aircraft.
DALLAS — True Blue Power today announced the company’s newest emergency battery power supplies (EBPS) during the New Product Introduction session at the Aircraft Electronics Association (AEA) International Convention and Trade Show. The TS32 Series (32-watt-hour) and TS56 (56-watt-hour) provide DC power for emergency lighting and critical equipment in the event of main aircraft power failure.
Increases Dispatch Reliability and Reduces AOG
The TS32 Series and TS56 deliver superior reliability by using aircraft power to recharge and maintain a full battery charge, ensuring they are always ready. Capacity checks are required only every two years, significantly reducing maintenance time and cost while minimizing AOG events. Compact and lightweight, the units are easy to install and maintain, with battery packs that can be replaced in the field in seconds using a single thumb screw.
Eliminates Memory Effect
Engineered with nickel-metal hydride (NiMH) battery technology, the TS32 Series and TS56 EBPS eliminate the memory effect associated with traditional nickel-cadmium (NiCad) units. This significantly reduces maintenance, minimizes downtime, and improves aircraft operational readiness.
Direct Replacements for Legacy NiCad Batteries
True Blue Power emergency battery power supplies are designed as direct replacements for legacy NiCad batteries on a range of business and commercial aircraft.
