Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and True Blue Power Select Dondlinger Construction to Complete 28,000 Square-Foot HQ Expansion

Wichita, Kan. — Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, a technology company and world leader in the design and manufacturing of aerospace products, today announced it has selected Dondlinger Construction to complete a 28,000 square-foot addition to the company’s Wichita headquarters. The expansion project, first announced in July 2023, will provide additional space for Mid-Continent’s growing battery and avionics manufacturing facilities, in-house design, testing capabilities, and engineering capabilities.
“Dondlinger Construction has been in business for more than 125 years and has completed many significant industrial and manufacturing facility projects. Their technical expertise and ability to coordinate construction around our existing, day-to-day needs, without interruption to our business or customers, was key in our decision to work with the Dondlinger team on this expansion,” said Cindy Highbarger, Senior Vice President of Finance and Operations for Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics.
The plans accommodate substantial personnel growth in all areas and will significantly increase global market share. Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics has worked closely with Alloy Architecture to design the 28,000 square-foot addition to the company’s headquarters, located at 9400 E 34th Street North in Wichita, Kansas. Alloy designed the company’s original building in 1997. Ground breaking will begin September 2023.
