Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics and True Blue Power are expanding company headquarters to support growing manufacturing, research and development, engineering, and in-house testing capabilities.

Wichita, Kan. — Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics, a technology company and world leader in the design and manufacturing of aerospace products, today announced a 28,000 square-foot addition to its Wichita, Kansas headquarters. The expansion is part of the company’s long-term, strategic plan to support immediate and future growth, accommodating increased customer demand, worldwide.

“This project is an example of our ongoing commitment to innovation,” said Todd Winter, President and CEO of Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics. “We invest heavily in research and development to propel our industry forward. Expanding our company allows us to grow our manufacturing facilities, in-house design, testing capabilities, and engineering department. This will attract new talent and add well-paying aviation jobs in the Air Capital.”

Founded in 1964, Mid-Continent Instruments and Avionics employs more than 200 employees in two locations: Wichita, Kansas and Chatsworth, California. Customers are supported by a global Distribution Network. Mid-Continent and its True Blue Power division deliver the safest, most certified instruments, avionics, electrical power systems, and lithium-ion batteries in the market, plus operate one of the largest overhaul, exchange, and repair programs in the world. Mid-Continent’s Wichita headquarters is located at 9400 E 34th Street North. The company has selected Kansas-based design firm Alloy Architecture for this project and will break ground Fall 2023.
